The first two recipients of the First-Generation Finance Scholarship will be announced by 15 May 2027, after the inaugural application cycle closes on 15 April 2027. Recipients are listed by name and institution only, with written permission — no essays, photographs or personal details, ever.
2026–27 cycle · the inaugural awards
First recipients announced May 2027. Applications for the inaugural cycle open 1 September 2026 and close 15 April 2027. The two $750 awards — one reserved for a community college student — will be announced by 15 May 2027 and recorded here.

How recipients are announced
- By name and institution only, and only with the recipient's written permission. A recipient may decline to be named here at all — the award is unaffected, and the row will simply read "recipient asked not to be named."
- We never publish essays, photographs, GPAs, hometowns or any other personal detail.
- Awards are paid directly to the recipient's institution, not listed as endorsements — recipients owe us nothing, including kind words.
