Aduna Capital manages investment accounts on a discretionary basis: after agreeing an investment policy with you, we select, buy, sell and rebalance the investments without needing sign-off on each trade. The fee is 1.5%–2.0% of assets per year, there is no account minimum, and we are fiduciaries on every account, at all times.
Who this is for
People who want their money invested properly and don't want to run it themselves — because of time, temperament, or the honest recognition that the biggest investment mistakes are usually self-inflicted. Clients range from a first account funded at $50 a month to families consolidating rollovers, brokerage accounts and inheritances into one coherent portfolio. If you enjoy managing your own investments and are doing it well, we will tell you that you may not need us.
What happens, step by step
- Understand. A conversation about what the money is for — retirement, a house, a child's education, all three — plus your timeline, income, and how you actually react when markets fall.
- Agree the policy. We put the target mix of stocks, bonds and cash in writing, with the reasoning, before a dollar is invested.
- Build. The portfolio is implemented at an independent custodian an independent custodian — Altruist, Betterment or Interactive Brokers — in your name; we manage the account and never hold your money ourselves.
- Manage. Ongoing rebalancing, investment of new deposits, and tax-loss harvesting in taxable accounts where it applies.
- Review. Scheduled reviews in English or Spanish, plus a phone call that gets answered when life changes between them.
What it costs
Our investment-management fee is up to 2.00% of the assets we manage per year, subject to negotiation, generally billed quarterly in arrears and disclosed in writing before we begin. The firm may waive all or part of its fee. Brokerage, transaction, fund and ETF expenses may apply separately. The complete published schedule →
Underlying funds and ETFs carry their own expense ratios, which we keep low and disclose — they exist at every firm, and pretending otherwise would be false. Why the minimum is zero →
What this does not include
- No promises about returns. Nobody can guarantee investment performance, and anyone who does is telling you something important about themselves.
- No day-trading or market-timing service. Discretion is used for disciplined management, not speculation.
- No custody. Your money sits at an independent custodian — Altruist, Betterment or Interactive Brokers — in your name; we can manage it, not withdraw it to ourselves.
- Legal and tax preparation stay with your attorney and CPA — we coordinate with them, we don't replace them.

Common questions
What does discretionary mean?
After we agree an investment policy with you in writing, we select, buy, sell and rebalance the investments without asking for sign-off on each trade. You set the goals and the guardrails; the day-to-day decisions are ours, and we are fiduciaries on every one of them.
Where is my money held?
At an independent custodian, in your name. We have authority to manage the account, not to withdraw from it to ourselves. You can see every holding and every trade on the custodian's statement, not only on ours.
What does it cost, and is there a minimum?
Our fee is 1.5%–2.0% of the assets we manage per year, billed quarterly and itemised on your statement. There is no minimum to open an account and a $50 monthly deposit minimum after that. We take no commissions and no payments from any fund company or platform. The published schedule →
Do you guarantee returns?
No, and no adviser can. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. What we commit to is a diversified portfolio built to your policy, managed by a fiduciary, at a disclosed fee.
