Service

Investment management, with your financial goals in focus

We manage investments. To do that well we need to understand the rest of your financial life, so those conversations are part of the service, not an add-on.

The short answer

Aduna Capital provides discretionary investment management, as described in our Form ADV Part 2A. Before and during the relationship we talk through your goals, time horizon, cash or income needs, risk tolerance and any investment restrictions, because those answers decide how your account is invested. These conversations are part of managing your investments. They are not a separate financial planning engagement, we do not produce a standalone written financial plan, and there is no separate planning fee.

Who this is for

People who want their investment account managed with the rest of their finances in mind: two incomes, an old 401(k) from a previous job, children approaching college, parents who may need help, or a moment like an inheritance or a job change. If your focus is retirement, see investment management for retirement.

How it works

  1. Understand your situation. We ask about your goals, time horizon, income and cash needs, existing accounts, how much risk you can accept and any restrictions you want on your investments.
  2. Set the investment approach. Those answers shape your account's asset allocation and the investments we choose within the asset classes described in our Form ADV.
  3. Manage the account. Under the discretionary authority you grant in our Investment Management Agreement, we buy and sell securities in your account. Your assets are held in your name by an independent qualified custodian, Interactive Brokers.
  4. Review regularly. We review accounts at least quarterly and meet with you at least annually. When your goals or finances change, tell us so we can adjust how your account is invested.

What it costs

Our investment-management fee is up to 2.00% of the assets we manage per year, subject to negotiation, generally billed quarterly in arrears and disclosed in writing before we begin. The firm may waive all or part of its fee. Brokerage, transaction, fund and ETF expenses may apply separately. The complete published schedule → Fees are described in our Form ADV Part 2A. The goal and planning conversations described on this page are included; there is no separate planning, hourly or flat fee. We receive no brokerage commissions; our compensation is limited to the advisory fee.

What this does not include

  • A standalone financial plan. We do not sell separate financial plans or charge planning fees.
  • Product sales. We do not sell insurance or other products.
  • Tax or legal services. Your CPA and attorney handle tax returns and legal documents.
  • Guarantees. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
